Portfolio Work.

I don’t know if I have shared this, but I’m a “blissful slashy”, yep I freelance as a visual merchandiser/stylist/make-up artist/hairstylist as my dream is to become an image consultant and so I earn my stripes as I go along. From what I have observed, the “opinion” of someone who knows what they are doing is quite influential and I wanna be that somebody *Dankie Aaliyah*. I got a call on Wednesday to assist in the production a fashion show for Thursday , from a friend of mine, Gugu of "paint of coloured streets". Now production in this sense means; bringing together elements that create a great ensemble ie; models, make-up, hair, sequence flow, music etc.

The venue was set to be at Billy G’s, Monte Casino and there were four designers showcasing their lines and we were there with Linda of Lynn Couture. As fashionably late as we were, we still had time to stitch together a razzmatazz of a show, I didn’t get to watch and our camera bombed out for a while nevertheless I do believe the snaps speak for themselves. I love working in these kinds of situations; I sweat, I learn a lot, I see what I am capable of, build up connections and all the while I am deep within the helm of bliss.

Kudos to all the designers for a job well done, I hope in a few years “started from the bottom” won’t be a fictitious anthem but carry much more meaning. If you are like myself and would like to “cop” yourself ietsie , get in touch with models and oll and oll don’t fret the snaps will have the necessary info.

Peace!!!
