Creative Breed, I am glad to say that project YLM is under
way. Before I go on, let
me explain.
As we all know, I put myself through the wire for eight
months right? However like I said, it wasn’t all bad, there was a lot of groove
involved, yesss. Now there came a point in time when hindsight and introspection
pulled me in to take heed my spending patterns
as I had zero savings and just felt like it was impossible ( to save that is).
After
having looked at my bank statements I realised that it was those R56.60, R75.24
and R98.12s that were killing me. Because somehow I sold myself the lie that if
the bill is under a R100.00 or a little over like R112.10 it’s okhay. BULL!!!!
Luckily Mosima felt the same way and this is how project “yonga leyo mali”
which means “save that money” has begun.
Obviously we needed a plan of action, a great one! This plan
had to cater for our like for things and love for life... In order to avoid
FOMO,you need to be doing something that’s much more fulfilling of course?
We both love to cook, bake, read, sip play games etc. and so naturally the great indoors
have become our biggest ally in this quest. Mosima is saving for a trip
to London and at the moment I’m getting into the habit before I start working again...
Today was the first day. (We want to focus on days like Thursday’s
and Friday’s which are most tempting to spend gwop for us). It went so
well, I had a really great time,I’m fed, nicenyana via the “saint” and feel good
enough to wake up and do something constructive in the morning.
Now don’t fret,
I’m still gonna bring the great discoveries of Macebisa’s wondering eye, just
in a more balanced way maybe? My camera wanted to live its own life again, but
here are some snaps .
Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday night.
