Yes, its a swimming pool, Yes I am a black woman , No I am not crazy. Yes I am a mermaid.

To be honest though creative breed I've been yearning for something fresh and new and what better way than "le 34 laps" right? A new hairstyle, really?

So I commited my whole enitre being to a wonderful aquatic challenge they call the "MidmarMile" meaning that I have to swim (in the water) for 1.6 kilometres non-stop by the 8th of February next year. I'm sure the runners are reading this like, "pssshhh I can run 10k's what's the big deal"? Ya, try running in the water and then tell me * insert Trevor Noah's Mantashe voice*

Before you hold night a vigil for me, you ought to now that I actually can swim.

Progress-wise? I have had two practice sessions and lets just say that the water feels really awesome, my boobs are learning to behave, I am writing this which means I haven't drowned, and I have finally somewhat regained the feeling in arms. Not so bad right?

To those who were ready to hold that night vigil for me, please rather help give me tips on how I can mbasha/phasha (look grey) less.

This was my office for the day…. The Marvellous Makaranga nestled deeply in the bosom of the luscious Valley of a thousand hills in Hillcrest.

 My intention was to catch on some what looks like a lifetime of writing, so I’d rather not catch up and just write from my heart.

So its been a wonderful six months or so since the last time we sat down okhay atleast today feels wonderful and that’s enough. I have re-emerged with this valuable lesson ; "Perfectionism  is what Procrastination looks like when its wearing a fake LV bag." Just get it done, them maybe you can exercise that perfectionist rubbish.

 The point of it all I to say that if you’re in eThekwini and looking for a  spectacular "naturffice” , want  to have a picnic, show off your summer bod just take a stroll in a beautiful garden/park situation check out their website here and live your life, I mean it is a treat right?

Well a friend turned baby sis, turned to sister- law though it was a “me” kinda thing to do, I mean who was I to refuse good excuse to doll myself up and get excited for no real apparent reason?

So I did it, for the Design Of Europe “dress a mannequin”  competition. They have officially moved their store from Brooklyn mall (Pta) to Brammies( yes I still dabble with the Jozi market) and want you guys to be a part of the culture. 

 When I win, I will get to dress a mannequin,a few prizes and hopefully be a VIP guest at their official launch come Thursday evening. I've seen a coupla pics of what the store looked like in Brooklyn, seems kinda sports luxy, edgy, would like to still pay them a real visit though.

I don’t generally do #ootds ( outfit of the day) for those of us who still don’t know, they are actually quite fun!!! Maybe I can do one a month?

A wedding fit for a Prince and his Princess

So, like..... you guys know that I'm about to binge-post now neh.

 

I went to a wedding with my mother  not so long ago, and my goodness did I fall in love with the venue. It goes by the name of "Prince's Grant", it's in Stanger which nestled in the more northern part of KwaZulu-Natal. I'm telling you that this venue is all shades of perfect with a perfectly manicured golf course, tennis, squash courts, walking trail, die strand which is secluded, apparently there is also a lagoon, camaaan and beautiful beach houses all in one! I mean, I guess that's why it's called "Golf Resort"?

 

If you're around KZN, try yourself out, this website will make things easier. No! Thank Me Now.

 

I'm working on that camera thing, okhay but in the meantime let's just enjoy the S3,alright?...

It was a bit hard to choose, but I did... I love them all. I love, love. I love candid stories. Everything about these stories makes me melt, from the music, to the art direction, ooh ay the plot. I love it!!!

Crazy enough, something similar has happened to me. It actually turned out to be one of the best relationships I've ever had.

I think what I love most about these stories is that help one believe that Source knows and love us unconditionally and is always drawing us towards our path of least resistance.

I've been so excited about this voice-over work that I have been doing. I have only had two sessions but that I just couldn't wait to share it with the CB. I think I'm just going to go ahead and call myself a voice-over artist now (he he he:)

 

I loves it, I get to tap into the drama kid within!

 

I have uploaded my voice- over ads on  sound cloud for you to share in my excitement. Who knows maybe one of you guys would want to use my one of these days #CelaNing'Uzeh.

 They are funny and I  just being in studio. HA!.

The current SEARCH-uation.

 

Greetings to you creative breed, from my humble abodeJ . Today I’m feeling * SOOO GREAT*, ( can you tell?) which is totally contradictory to the day’s weather… Yes I woke up to a misty, drizzly Gillets. I enjoy this cold/England weather now… I could attribute it to residing in Joho for a while, but naaah it is hot there too. It’s the simple fact that it releases me from FOMO and encourages productivity. You see, when it’s hot I want to do everything except “think”. I dabble with insanity when it’s too hot. I get all kinds of tired ( because the sun drains energy and the moon boosts energy), irritable ( clothes don’t fit), confused ( in  my defense, everyone’s facial expression is like that)  and just like bleh…. This is weird because I used to looove the summer, I still do love  the summer,nights that is.

Thanks to today’s weather; I have regained my cognitive command and my “jab search” (yes job with an “a” pronounced with a wide open mouth "aaaa") has been blissful. Izolo phela bengisure ukuthi ngiyafa ngendlela ebekushisa ngayo, however on the plus side I made four submissions.

Applications, applications, applications, wowzers! I feel like I resemble right iC.V nje manje. No don’t get me wrong I am not complaining, because I mean it is my life and thanks to my dear sister and bruv; I’m going about it in the most comfortable manner, inadvertently then putting pressure on me to find a job as in yesterday. It’s as if someone is saying, “hhawu awukakatholi lutho namanje, hhayi ngeke?” Hahahaha (that is not entirely true), I know this is a silly thought because I’m not H.R, however I know better than to believe everything I think.

What I have learned through this whole process?

Hmmmm, looking for a job when you have a job and when you don’t have a job is different|| It is tiring || A cover letter is tough to draft for a job you are not keen for.|| It is easy to get distracted || It gets so intense.|| You begin to consider taking jobs you wouldn’t have in a milllllion years||  It can feel like you are writing exams|| Salaries can screw with your mind|| Have deliverables that you can achieve at the end of each day|| And deliver them to self || Go with what feels best|| Even if it wasn’t what you thought you were looking for|| Rather have fun|| Take a break|| Find a really good thing to keep your mind of *tings (my nephew, I am obs) || Let it go || Have faith|| Do it || Keep looking ‘til you find one that sounds like it was designed for|| Stop and start and stop and start again || Did I mention, to have fun with it || Finally, SURRENDER your whole process to the Universal H.R organizer|| And begin to feel like it’s yours, because IT IS. J
